DDC Kupwara reviews implementation of TFIIP, asks officers to achieve targets

The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara Imam Din today convened a joint meeting of concerned officers and Bankers to review the implementation of Targeted Financial Intervention Inclusion Programme (TFIIP) in mission mode in the district.The meeting was informed that the aim and objective of the TFIIP was to ensure availability of one banking touch-point (Branch/BC/Kiosk) within 5 kilometer distance of inhabited village in the district.The another objective of the TFIIP was  to  ensure coverage under identified Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for financial inclusion  in a mission mode up to benchmark level under Bank accounts CASA, PMJJBY, PMSBY and APY.The meeting was informed that NITI Aayog has given a target to enhance the penetration of financial inclusion in mission mode in the Aspirational districts like Kupwara.  The number of accounts / enrollments to be achieved for achieving benchmark under CASA is 1,129,328 accounts ; under PMJJBY is 85,051 enrollments; under PMSBY is 2,63,743 enrollments and under APY is 25,118 beneficiaries.In his address, the DDC stressed upon all stakeholders to do their bit in achieving the given targets by the end of August, this year. He asked them to work in tandem, adding that the mutual coordination between different units always pave way for better results at ground level.The Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone, ASP, Joint Director Planning, Abdul Majeed,  ALC, DSWO, DIO,  other concerned officers and bankers were present in the meeting.
