The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today convened an interactive meeting with Journalist and Writers Association Kupwara (JWAK) headed by its President, Fayaz Hameed.ADDC Kupwara, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat was also present in the meeting.The President JWAK briefed the DC about the issues of media persons in Kupwara, besides, the difficulties they face while covering the events on ground.Other journalists also spoke and apprised the chair about their issues.The DC gave a patient hearing and assured them about resolving their genuine demands. He said District Officers need to be responsive to the media persons so that the Journalists and media persons are able to cover the government version about problems faced by the public.He also stressed upon the media persons to make their stories objective and balanced adding that the District Administration is always available to provide help to the people who are engaged directly or indirectly in promoting development and wellbeing of the society.
