Commissioner Patiala Division, Chander Gaind today got shot of COVID Vaccination Covishield at Mata Kaushalya Hospital.He exhorted others to get COVID jab as per their turn without any hesitation to speed up the Vaccination campaign of first and second phases. Terming it safe and secure, Mr. Gaind said that to build a strong and healthy society, it is necessary to get the COVID jab timely to avoid COVID infection.He said that as the new strain of COVID is being anticipated, so we should come forward to get the shots of vaccine to build a healthy nation.He said that after getting first jab of Covishiled today, he has done his routine working including inspection of Fatehgarh Sahib District.He said that in wake of the spike in COVID cases, the officials have been asked to take strict action against the persons who are not wearing masks.Civil Surgeon, Dr. Satinder Singh apprised him of the ongoing process of Vaccination in the district. He said that about 8600 persons have been covered so far including health care workers, police and defence personnel, revenue department employees and water supply and sanitation workers.
