Punjab Employment Generation department releases compendium on the eve of New Year to facilitate job aspirants

The Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training department has taken a unique initiative and prepared a Compendium of Instructions to provide a single detailed document which would guide the Youth of the state to get jobs and self employment. Mr. Rahul Tewari Secretary Employment Generation and Training released the compendium in the presence of Mr. Harpreet Singh Sudan and Joint Director Mrs Gurmeet Kaur here today.Mr. Rahul Tewari briefing about this initiative of the department said that this is a valuable New Year gift for the unemployed Youth of the state which would assist them to get a fruitful job as per their Skill and qualifications. He said that the various schemes which were being run by the department like the ‘Apni Gaddi Apna Rozgaar’, ‘MerakaamMeraMaan ‘ and the activities carried out like the Rozgaar melas and services like the unemployment allowance, facilitation in self employment have been detailed.He said that this document not only contains the information about the Employment Generation Department but also detailed information about all the Skill Development schemes and courses. 'It would also act as a ready resource for reference for all the employees, both present and future, and the clarity of information will help in increasing the efficiency and transparency of the work', added Rahul Tewari.He further said that the compendium contains complete information about the field offices- the District Bureaus of Employment and Enterprises, the missions working under the department - Punjab GharGharRozgaar and Karobaar Mission and Punjab Skill Development Mission. Apart from this it also completes the institutes working for preparing the candidates for Armed Forces-Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute, Mai Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute for Girls, Centre for Training & Employment of Punjab Youth.
