Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur dedicated residential complex of Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education at Dharamsala completed by spending Rs. 1.71 crore, besides laying foundation stone of ‘Shikshak Sadan’ to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 4.90 crore virtually from Shimla today.Speaking on the occasion from Shimla, Chief Minister said that the State has been adjudged as the ‘Best State of the Country’ amongst big States for its outstanding achievements in the field of education. He said that this was possible due the special attention given by the State Government towards providing quality education to the students of the State.Jai Ram Thakur said that the School Education Board was also playing a vital role in ensuring quality education to the students of the State. He said that the focus of the State Government was to strengthen the existing infrastructure in the field of education. He said that New Education Policy of the Union Government after a gap of 34 year would go a long way in providing quality education to the students. He said that the State would also implement the new education policy in the State.Chief Minister said that the Covid-19 pandemic has adversely affected the life of the common man and posed a big challenge to the world economy. He said that the State Government was ensuring that the pace of development does not get affected due to this virus. He said that the State Government made online provision under ‘Har Ghar Pathshala’ for providing online education to the students. 

He said that although there was no substitute of class room education, but the online classes had provided a great relief to the students of the State.Jai Ram Thakur also released ‘Kul Geet’ and booklets brought out by the Board on the occasion.Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur said that the residential complex of the Education Board would go a long way in providing residential accommodation to the employees of the Board. He said that every area of the State has witnessed unprecedented development during the last three years.  MLA Dharamshala Vishal Nehariya said that the State was forging ahead on the path of progress and prosperity under the able leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. He said that the Chief Minister has always shown special concern towards the development of the area.Chairman Board of School Education Dr. Suresh Kumar Soni while welcoming the Chief Minister and other dignitaries said that the Education Board was focusing on the present day challenges for growth of the students. He said that various activities such as moral education  was being imparted to the students by the Board. Secretary Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education Akshay Sood  presented vote of thanks.MP Kishan Kapoor, MP Rajya Sabha Indu Goswami, MLAs Ravinder Dhiman and Rajesh Thakur joined the event online from their respective places whereas MLA Jawali Arjun Singh Thakur was present at Shimla with the Chief Minister.
