DDC Phase-7 polling: DC Ramban discusses arrangements with Magistrates, police officers

Deputy Commissioner (DC), Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan today chaired a meeting of Zonal Magistrate (SM) and Sectoral Magistrates (SM) besides concerned police officers deputed for 7th phase of the District Development Council (DDC) election in the district.Speaking on the occasion, the DC informed that 7th phase of DDC election, besides Panchayat and MC by- election, is going to be held on 16th of December in 2 DDC constituencies including Ramban-A and Ramban-B.Additional SP, Rajni Sharma, Dy. DEO, Lal Chand, various other senior officers of police and civil administration attended the meeting.The DC had a thorough discussion with regard to the necessary arrangements for the elections including deployment of poll staff, transportation of polling material, security arrangements at polling stations and other   issues related to the 7th phase of the election process.The DC emphasized upon the ZM, SM and police officers to ensure timely reporting of voter turnout to the election control room besides working in-coordination with each other to make it successful.   He informed that keeping in view unpredictable weather conditions the district administration has finalized all the adequate arrangements for the polling. The polling staff have been trained and deputed to conduct free as well as fair election.Meanwhile, Additional SP briefed the meeting about security arrangements being made by the police department to ensure free and fair election besides avoiding any untoward or disturbance during the election process, he added.
