Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs on Friday stormed the official residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi amid chanting slogans against his government at the Centre, demanding repeal of the anti-farmer central agriculture marketing laws. The massive protests by AAP MLAs at the prime minister's residence gave the Delhi police administration a tough time to control them. The Police had to sweat it out to take the protesting leaders into custody, amid raising slogans against the Modi government holding placards in their hands. The leaders, who were a part of the protest, included Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema, in charge of Punjab Affairs and MLA from Tilak Nagar (Delhi) Jarnail Singh, Kisan Wing Punjab President and MLA Kultar Singh Sandhwan, senior party leader and MLA Aman Arora, Prof. Baljinder Kaur, Meet Hair, Kulwant Singh Pandori, Manjit Singh Bilaspur and Jai Krishan Singh Rori (all MLAs).Briefing the media on the occasion, Jarnail Singh said that the AAP leaders had to stormed the Prime Minister’s residence to make his deaf government hear the voices of Punjab farmers, who were peacefully agitating for months against the black laws on agriculture., He said that the country’s ‘annaadaata’ was being subjected to all atrocities while the union government was unconcerned about their pains and privations. As the AAP leaders shouted slogans against the Modi-government to hear  the agonising voices of the farmers, following which they were taken into custody by the Delhi Police. They were first taken to the Chanakyapuri police station, before releasing them at Burari Ground here.Jarnail Singh said that the Aam Aadmi Party and the Arvind Kejriwal government of Delhi had been standing rock solid with the farmers from day one and would continue to do so to save the country’s benefactor from perishing.
