Among many of the Panchayats here in the outskirts of this district the gram Panchayat of Balhama-B and Fakeer Gojiree-A also participated today in the Back to Village programme phase-III.The people there raised many of the specific issues of their respective  areas but the up gradation of amenities like road network, electricity and employment generation dominated the proceedings of the day.At Pachayat Halqa Fakeer Gojree-A, the visiting officer was Director Planning, PWD, Attar Hussain Qadri and for Balhama-B Mimoona Bano, Law Officer, CE, I&FC Department was  designated for listening to public feedback and grievances there.In both the panchayat halqas of Faqeer Gojree-A and Balhama-B a good number of people were seen assembled at the venues. People were seen visiting and leaving the spots after getting necessary information from the officers stationed there.At Faqeer Gojree-A of block Harwan dozens of people were seen visiting the local CFC centre for taking up their matters with the designated officer. Many people were witnessed busy in locating their names in the beneficiary lists from the concerned. Some were keenly listening to the works to be taken up under 15th Finance Commission and MGNREGA plan 2021-22.The villagers asked for providing of play ground to the area besides macdamisation of the road leading to their habitation. They also demanded up gradation of their High School to Higher Secondary, establishment of Anganwadi centre and providing of technical staff and equipment to the Primary Health Centre already established in the village.

Besides the visiting officer informed that early in the day he sensitised all the district officers about the village issues pertaining to their departments. He revealed that he took assurance from the PDD to replace the wooden poles and barbed wire from the village as they pose risk to life and property there.The visiting officer informed that all the 214 tribal students were sponsored under pre-matric scholarship scheme. More than 300 benefitted from PM-Kisan scheme. Old age pension was provided to 6 persons on the spot and Aadhar seeding was done for 15 BPL consumers there under the supervision of the visiting officer.At village Balhama one of the visitors was Showkat Hussain Dar, who demanded completion of installation of transformers and electric poles recently dumped by the department in the village. Showkat further asked the visiting officer toalso push Jal Shakti department to complete the Water Supply Scheme for the area and tapping of waters from the local Tulpathri spring.A girl named Rafiqa Bano from the village was found waving her documents and enauiring from the Community Mobiliser of NRLM about the establishment of tailoring centre. She was informed that poor and vulnerable women are provided with a loan upto an amount of Rs1 lakh at a minimal interest of 1% per annum. She was made to fill an application form and assured that she would get the benefit soon.Dozens of representatives from line departments like PWD, Jal Shakti, Rural Development, Power, Social Welfare, Education and Revenue departments were present at the specified venues informing people about the different welfare schemes rolled out by Centre or UT government. Banners and brochures  were kept available by the Horticulture, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry departments for the dissemination of information among the prospective beneficiaries.Similarly, as informed by the visiting officer, the programme is going to make people aware about the simplified ways and means of availing the government services and facilities at doorsteps. The programme also envisages helping the local population living in far off places to know about the specific schemes by virtue of which their day to day issues regarding the upgrading of rural infrastructure  and income could be achieved.The visiting officers later conducted field visits of their respective panchayats, met the public at their doorsteps and took first hand appraisal of problems and demands put forth by the local people.
