IRP-20th Bn organises Medical cum Awareness camp at Nowgam

A day long free Medical camp cum Awareness programme on COVID-19 was today organized by IRP 20thBattalion at TRC Nowgam.The camp was organised in collaboration with department of AYUSH (ISM) Budgam team headed by Dr. Ali Mohammad Reshi (Distt. Nodal officer ISM Budgam) for briefing of officers and Jawans of the unit who are continuously performing duties amid pandemic in the valley.He reiterated the importance of preventive measures required to contain further spread of COVID-19 here.Dr. Reshi advised the officers and men regarding boosting of their immunity and taking various precautions like wearing of masks, washing of hands, maintaining of social distancing while performing duties in view of the situation emerged from COVID-19.On the occasion, the visiting team and officers of the unit distributed immunity boosting medicines and other preventive material among the officers and men of the unit on spot.

SSP, CO IRP-20th Bn. Baqar Samoon on the occasion reiterated the importance of preventive measures and adherence to SOPs and guidelines required to contain the spread of COVID-19.He further advised the unit personnel to ensure physical/stress management exercises to enhance and maintain their physical fitness besides overall development of health and wellness.This was the fourth camp of its nature organised by the unit so far with the objective to educate the unit personnel about the SOP/protocol that needs to be followed in view of nature of their duties and in the wake of rapid spread of deadly pandemic. SSP, APCR Kmr Sheikh Junaid, SSP DyCO Munir Ahmad, DySP, DySP of the unit, DySP IR-23rd Bn, SHO P/S Nowgam and other officer and ranks of IRP-20thBn. were present on the occasion.
