Vidhan Sabha constituency Mohali would be made the leading constituency in the state in terms of development. The developmental works in urban areas and the villages would not be allowed to halt, said Balbir Singh Sidhu, Health and Family Welfare Minister Punjab. Continuing the ongoing series of development works in the constituency, Mr. Sidhu laid the foundation stone of Panchayat Ghars to be constructed in five different villages at a cost of Rs.1.25 crore under Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan.Mr. Sidhu said that at a cost of Rs.25 lac, each modern Panchyat Ghars would be constructed in 2300 square feet of area and will have a hall, sarpanch’s office, IT room, kitchen and pantry among others.  He said that a separate ramp would also be constructed in these Panchayat Ghars in order to facilitate the people with physical disabilities. He said that the concerned authorities have been directed to ensure high quality material for construction purposes and ensure completion of construction work within the stipulated time.Mr. Harkesh Chand Sharma, Political Secretary to the Health Minister and Chairman, Market Committee, Kharar informed that Mr. Sidhu laid the foundation stones of Panchayat Ghars at village Bakarpur, Kurri, Saneta, Gobindgarh and Mauli Baidwan. He said Mr. Sidhu is fulfilling his promises to the people of the constituency and there will be no shortage of funds for development works.Among others present on the occasion were Jagtar Singh Sarpanch Bakarpur, Chhajja Singh Sarpanch Kurri, Chaudhary Bhagat Ram Sarpanch Saneta, Balkrishnan Sarpanch Mauli Baidwan, Chaudhary Ramishwar, Gobindgarh.
