Fruit Plantation Drive launched in Samba

The District Horticulture Department, Samba, today launched a Plantation Drive campaign, here from village Sujwan, panchayat Chajjwal.The drive was held in coordination with Panchayat representatives led by Sarpanch, S. Girdhara Singh and in presence of general public.The over fifty High Yielding quality  fruit plants   were  planted  at  available  lands  in  the  premises of Government offices of Health and Wellness Centre, Govt. High School Sujwan Panchayat Ghar, etc. The fruit plants were planted by all the participants. The Department   also distributed booklets containing the calendar of operation required for the after care of fruits plants for the whole District.The District SMS Pomology,  Ashwani Sharma and Horticulture Development Officer  Rakesh Kumar apprised the gathering about the ongoing developmental and welfare schemes of the Department for the fruit growers and the  importance of plantation of fruit plants.
