District Development Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria today inaugurated Mahila Shakti Kendra, here at DC office complex Nandini Hills.The District Development Commissioner said that Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) would facilitate and provide one stop convergent support services for empowering women with opportunities like skill development, employment, digital literacy, health and nutrition. He said that MSK will play an instrumental role in awareness generation regarding various important issues that have an impact on the lives of women and the schemes rolled out by govt for women empowerment.The DDC also stressed upon District Level Centre for Women (DLCW) to serve as a link between the village, block and state level in facilitating promotion of women-centric schemes and also give a foothold for Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme at the district level. He laid emphasis upon Community engagement through Volunteers which is to play an instrumental role in awareness generation regarding various important government schemes/ programmes as well as social issues as part of Block Level initiatives.
