Deputy Commissioner Bathinda B Srinivasan advised the people having symptoms of corona like cough,fever and fatigue to step out for corona test as they can save their family from infection but they will be performing a duty of a responsible citizen by doing so.There are 683 active corona cases in the district out of which 342 are in home isolation. A dedicated control room is established for monitoring of the status of all home isolated positive patients. Psychiatrist and dietitians are in touch with all positive patients through video calls and whatsapp groups. Arrangements are made for yoga classes of patients he added.More than 85 percent of cases are asymptomatic which can be home isolated as per guidelines if they have separate room with toilet at home and a caretaker to help them.Red Cross Bathinda is providing covid safety kit for all such patients which includes pulse oximeter, thermometer, sanitizer,basic tablets of zinc,vitamins and medicine for fever. List of Do's and Don'ts is also provided in the kit which will cost 1500 to the patient said Deputy Commissioner.In case  of any emergency patient can contact control room and he will be immediately shifted to hospital if situation arise.Deputy Commissioner added there is no need to panic as round the clock arrangements are made by District administration for positive patients in home quarantine. Testing capacity for corona tests is now increased from 350 to 1000 tests per day in Bathinda District.
