Senior Superintendent of Police Moga, Harmanbir Singh Gill said that raising Khalistan flag near Kotkapura bypass here, work of mischievous people. He said that such miscreants would be dealt with severely by the police. Mr Gill said that although according to the Hon'ble Supreme Court, hoisting any such flag is not a legal offence as it is not a recognized flag. However, it is a punishable offence if it is done with malicious intent.  Moga police are searching for those who raised the flag.  These naughty people will soon be caught and thrown behind bars. He said that the perpetrators of this incident were unknown persons who had written the word "Zindabad' as 'Zindibaad'.  He said that such mischief is done by some people for their own narrow interests.  If such a person comes in light, he will also be dealt with severely.
