Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori on Monday reviewed the implementation of ongoing projects under various programs of the Punjab Government.Chairing a meeting to discuss the present status of the Punjab Urban Environment Improvement Program (PUEIP), Smart Village Campaign (SVC) and flood protection works along with ADC (D) Mr Vishesh Sarangal, Deputy Commissioner told the Sub Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) and officials to ensure that the developmental works were completed within the timeline for the well-being of the people.He said that it was the need of the hour for giving a fillip to the overall development of the state.He asked them to follow to the timelines for the completion of these projects under these schemes.He said that there must not be a further delay in submission of the DPRs to the state government for getting funds from the government. He told that there should not be further delay in execution of these projects to ensure complete facelift of the district.The Deputy Commissioner also asked the officials of Rural Development and Panchayat Department to complete all the works started under the SVC program.Mr Thori said that the main motive of these schemes was to ensure comprehensive development of these areas of the district. On the occasion, Sub Divisional Magistrates Mr Rahul Sindhu, Mr Gautam Jain, Mr Jai Inder Singh, Mr Sanjiv Kumar Sharma, MC joint Commissioner Ms Shayri Malhotra, DDPO Mr Iqbalpreet Singh and others were present.
