Rs.30 Crore Earmarked For Medical Colleges : Kaul

State Govt. has earmarked Rs.30 cores for strengthening and providing modern health services in two prestigious medical colleges IGMC Shimla and Dr. RPGMC Tanda duing current financial year.This was disclosed by Health and Revenue Minister Sh. Kaul Singh Thakur, while presiding over the District Level Himachal Day function at Police Ground here today. Earlier, minister unfurled the National Flag and took salute of attractive March past, presented by the contingent of Police, Homegaurd, Scout and Guides and school children of the town. Police Sub-Inspector Sh. Ashwani Kumar commanded the parade.Minister said that state govt. was committed to provide qualitative and better health care services to people of the state and generic medicines would be provide free of cost to patients in all govt. health institutions during this year. He said that super- specialty services would be started at TMC from September, 2013. So that people living lower area of the Pradesh would get the modern and better health care services at their doorsteps, he added.

He said that 59 new ambulances would be added in the fleet of National Ambulance Services-108 very shortly, whereas 112 ambulances were already stationed in different health institutions of the state. He said that 200 posts of doctors and all vacant posts of paramedical staff would be filled up in a phase manner during next two years.Health minister awarded the three BDOs of Kangra district for outstanding performance in implementing MNREGA programme during last year, besides this three schools of the district were awarded with district level prize of  Rs.50000 and 92 schools awarded with block level prizes of worth Rs. 20000 each under State School Sanitation Programme.

A colorful cultural programme was presented on the occasion by the school children, IPR and TIPA artists and minister gave away the prizes to the participants of parade and cultural programme.Earlier Health Minister paid floral tribute to martyr of freedom movement at War Memorial. Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sh. Neeraj Bharti, MLAs Sh. Ajay Mahajan, Sh. Sanjay Rattan, Sh. Kishori Lal, Sh. Yadvinder Gomma, Chairman KCC Bank Sh. Jagdish Sipahia, Deputy Commissioner Kangra Sh. C Palrasu, SP Sh. Balbir Thakur, representatives of Congress party and elite of the town were presented on the occasion among others.
