Jammu Kashmir Sericulture Employees on Wednesday staged a silent protest against what they called ‘unauthorized, unnecessary’ suspension of over 14 employees of the department here in Srinagar.Scores of employees alleged that Director Sericulture suspended 14 employees of the department despite the fact all of them were present on the said date. The Director has issued the order claiming that these employees had no manual attendance in the department. On Monday, I inspected the department where these employees were found absent from their duty,to which i ordered the spot suspension of these employees with the full enquiry in the issue. Till further enquires, the suspended officials shall remain absent in the Directorate of Sericulture Department, director saidHowever, employees refuted the claims of the director of involving them into the list of absentees. The employees have further decided to take their suspension case into the court, with the appeal to the higher administrative officials to intervene into their matter. (KPS)
