In a clear reflection of never say die spirit of the Jalandhar residents, 12 Corona positive patients including a 78 years old septuagenarian today defeated the pandemic by recovering well from the Covid 19 and returning back to their homes thereby taking the total tally of patients recovering from the virus to 38. Eight Jalandhar residents including Mr. Ravinder Singh, Mr. Vasu, Mr. Satish Mahajn, Mr. Vishav Sharma, Mr. Anmol Mahajan, Mr. Harpreet Singh, Mr. Deepak Sharma and Mrs. Kamlesh Rani were discharged from the Civil Hospital in the morning. Likewise, four more patients Mr. Mohinder Singh (78), Mr. Avtar Singh, Mr. Hardyal Singh and Mrs. Isha today registered their triumph over the pandemic and were discharged from the hospital. All the 12 patients won the battle against Corona Virus with their indefatigable will power and quality treatment facilities being offered by the Punjab government.These patients were admitted to the local Civil Hospital after found positive of Corona Virus and dedicated team of Doctors and para medical staff led by Senior Medical Officer of Civil Hospital Dr. Kashmiri Lal ensured quality treatment to them in the hospital. Subsequently after treatment at the civil hospital there samples were again sent to laboratory in which their report was found negative. The samples were again sent for confirmatory test in which their report was too found negative, after which they were finally discharged from the local civil hospital today.
The Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar complemented the team of Doctors for ensuring quality treatment to these patients through which they were able to recover. They said that till now 38 patients have recovered from the pandemic and the day was not far when Jalandhar would be free of this Covid 19. Both the officers said that they would not rest till Jalandhar was made Corona Virus free.Meanwhile, the patients expressed complete satisfaction over the treatment given to them in the Civil hospital. They thanked all the medical and Para medical staff who took care of them in last couple of days. The patients also expressed their sincere gratitude to the state government led by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh for making elaborate arrangements to take care of the patients in this hour of crisis.Complementing the entire staff of the Civil Hospital who were serving the patients with missionary zeal, Civil Surgeon Jalandhar Dr Gurinder Kaur Chawla and Medical Superintendent Civil hospital Jalandhar Dr. Harjinder Singh expressed hope that like these 38 patients all the others would recover from Covid 19 and Jalandhar would be soon Corona free district. They said that under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, the Health department was fully committed to win the war against Corona Virus. They said that it was a moment of pride and satisfaction for them that these patients have recovered but still a lot of hard work has to be done to make Jalandhar Covid 19 free.
