The untimely demise of Tanveer-ul-Ahad has been widely condoled across Jammu and Kashmir.In a condolence message, Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu prayed  for peace to the departed soul and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family members.National Conference President and MP Farooq Abdullah while expressing grief over the  untimely demise beseeched almighty Allah to bless his soul and grant him place in jannat. “Allah grant you all courage to face this great loss. Amen,” he said in a condolence  message to GNS. Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari expressed heartfelt condolences and prayed for eternal peace to the departed  soul and courage to the family.“Indeed it is shocking and irreparable loss for all of us particularly for his near and dear ones. Do understand your pain.  However were are  helpless and have to bear this and continue to do our best in the interest of the organization which he headed and thereby try to serve our people,” said CPI(M)  state general  secretary Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami said while extending condolences to entire GNS and Kashmir Glory team.“My sincere condolences,” Principal Secretary information and  government spokesman Rohit Kansal said in a message.In a condolence message, Kansal has prayed for peace to the departed soul and expressed solidarity with the bereaved  family members.Director Information and PR Syed Sehrish Asgar also condoled the sad demise of Tanveer-ul-Ahad.“I pray to Allah to bless the departed soul with eternal peace in  heaven and give enough strength to family members to bear sorrow,” she said in message.Dr Sehrish called Tanveer’s demise as a huge loss to journalistic fraternity of  Kashmir.Meanwhile, Dr Sehrish also chaired a condolence meeting held at Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) office Jammu in which Joint Director Information  Jammu, Namrata Dogra; Joint Director Headquarters, Parveen Kumar, Deputy Director PR, Mridhu Salathia and other officers participated.The participants prayed for eternal  peace to the departed soul and expressed their sympathies with the bereaved family.Divisional commissioner Kashmir Pandurang K. Pole in his condolence message said: “I pray  to Allah to bless the departed soul with eternal peace in heaven and give enough strength to family members to bear sorrow.”Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Anshul Garg (IAS)  has expressed grief over demise of Tanveer ul Ahad.

In a condolence message, “may the great soul rest in peace and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family members.”Former Chief Secretary of erstwhile J&K and presently  UPSC member B B Vyas also expressed condolences.Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board chairman Khalid Jahangir also expressed condolencesJK Press Association (JKPA) headed by GH Kaloo  condole the demise of Tanveer-ul-Ahad, describing him as “an embodiment of many virtues and gentleman of par excellence.”JKPA said he would  always help the needy and would involve himself in highlighting  the welfare issues of general public. Hence his death has been mourned widely, particularly by the j&K  journalistic Fraternity, the association said. “It is matter of grief and sad moment for entire journalist fraternity in J&K that Tanveer-ul-Ahad  passed away at very young age. I am  forced to place on record the integrity uprightness of  late  Tanvee. Last but not the least, Tanveer was non-controversial journalist with deep sense of news making besides  being out and out gentleman,” Salim Pandit, senior journalist said .Notably, he said, Tanveer’s news agency called GNS was considered to be most credible and unblemished  news gathering agency. “He was among few journalists in the valley who had the knack to extract the real news from the most introvert sources.”President DAK, Dr Suhail Naik  while condoling the sad demise of Tanveer-ul-Ahad prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul. 

“May Allah gives courage and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.”G N Var President Private Schools’ Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) while  expressing grief and sorrow over the sad demise termed Tanveer as a most noble and gentle soul.“He was a young upcoming journalist and would always highlight the miseries  and hardship of common masses. The deceased was a person of great potential and had high dreams but alas in his death we lost an able soul,” he said prayed for eternal  peace to the departed soul. He expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family. “The members of the Association prayed to almighty to give courage to the family  and grant Jannah to the departed soul.”Describing Tanveer-ul-Ahad as a journalist par excellence, editor-in-chief of monthly Payam-e-Talaba, Umar Sultan, has expressed deep  shock on the sad demise of founder editor of GNS and Kashmir Glory. “Tanveer was a personal friend and colleague from more than last ten years and his untimely death has  created a void in Kashmir press,” he said, adding, “Tanveer was a humble human being, always available to help people in distress. He will be remembered for his incisive  journalistic and management skills, which enabled him to start his own newspaper as well as news gathering agency, GNS. With his hard work and determination, GNS soon  emerged as credible news gathering agency breaking news from all parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Tanveer was not only a journalist, he was a humanitarian activist.”Payam-e- Talaba staff prayed for peace to the departed soul and extended sympathies to the bereaved family.Press Council Of Mendhar Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir Young Journalist  Association (JKYJA), Kashmir`s Islamic Seminary Scholar & Founder of Wilayat Times, Waseem Reza and Kupwara Times Editor-in-Chief  Wasim Majnoon Mir among many  others expressed the condolences.  (GNS)
