Led by Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Mr Gurpreet Singh Bhullar the security forces today conducted flag march in the city.The flag march started from District Administrative Complex and culminated at BMC Chowk, Company Bagh Chowk, Jyoti Chowk, Basti Adda Chowk, Football Chowk, Basti Nau, Basti Guzan, Babu Jagjiwan Ram Chowk, Veer Babrik Chowk, Model House, Guru Ravidaas Chowk, Manbro Chowk, Goal Market, Urban Estate, PIMS road and others.The Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police said that the motive of flag march was to instill a sense of security and safety amongst the city residents.They said that move was also aimed at boosting the morale of security forces who were rendering duty 24X7.They said that curfew has been imposed to check the spread of Corona Virus in the district adding that the district administration was duty-Bound to enforce it in true latter and spirit.They warned the people that anybody found loitering during the curfew would be dealt with sternly. They asked the people to stay in their homes and ensure safety and security of their families.On the occasion Additional Deputy Commissioners Mr Vishesh Sarangal Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr Amrik Singh Powar, Mr Naresh Dogra, Sub Divisional Magistrates Mr Rahul Sindhu and Dr Jai Inder Singh, and others were also present.
