District Development Commissioner Showkat Aijaz Bhat chaired District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting to review the performance of banks and line departments under ACP from 1.4. 2019 to 31-12-2019.The meeting was attended by CPO, ACD, District officers of the line departments, LDM LEAD BANK manager Ghulam Rasool , cluster Head JK Bank, District coordinators of various banks and other concerned officers also attended the meeting. The meeting discussed in detail progress and achievements made by the banks in the implementation of various government- sponsored schemes like Kisan Credit Card (KCC), NRLM, Housing for all, Handloom, Weavers MUDRA, SHGs, JLGs, Artisan Credit Card, and Stand Up India. Besides the sponsored schemes, loans provided by banks under direct lending mode was also discussed.He also impressed upon the banks and other concerned agencies to provide hassle-free sanction and disbursement of loans under various schemes to people especially unemployed youth.
Giving details about the performance of banks, the meeting was informed that total deposits of the district have increased to Rs.1704.14 crore as on 31-12-2019 with 7.30 percent increase in this FY.It was also given out in the meeting that advances have considerably grown to Rs.1294.900 crores as on 31-12-2019 witnessing 9.71 percentage growth in this FY. While CD ratio stands at 76.00% as on 31.12.19 which is above the national benchmark of 60% On the occasion, DDC while taking note of suggestions and concerns put forth by Cluster Head,JK Bank ,Mr Iftikhar Abdullah about ensuring 100%coverage of Farmers under KCC Scheme and timely disposal of sponsored cases ,exhorted upon concerned Departments to take serious note and organise awareness camps in collaboration with Banks to create general awareness along with onspot case disposals. He further stressed upon greater coordination between banks and various line departments.DDC also directed the concerned to cover the beneficiaries under various social security schemes which includes PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY.
