District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Anshul Garg today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the Action Plan for saturation of Border Areas such as Karnah, Machil, Jumagung and Budnamal of district Kupwara with respect to health, education, power, roads and other welfare schemes. Among others the meeting was attended by SDM Karnah, JD Planning, CMO, Executive Engineer PDD and PDC, Tehsildar Karnah and Keran, Representatives of Education Department and other concerned.On the occasion, the DDC directed the concerned officials to focus on the infrastructural development of schools in the border areas. The officials of the education department proposed a plan for construction of bunkers in higher secondary’s and high schools. The DDC directed the concerned Tehsildar and officials of education department identify land for such constructions.The DDC directed to the Chief Medical officer to formulate an action plan to improve health sector in these areas. While the PDD authorities were asked to take steps for improving power scenario in these areas.
