Three Scooty Borne militants fired upon forces checkpost at Lawaypora outskirts of Summer capital Srinagar on Wednesday in which One CRPF Personal killed and two militants were also neutralized in Forces Retailation while one militant who escaped from spot in injured condition was Apprended alive nearby was admitted in hospital.After the Incident Senior officers have reached to the spot and additional reinforcements have been brought in the area.Reports received by 5 Dariya news that brief exchange of fire was reported between Scooty Borne militants and Security forces at joint Naka checkpost near Lawaypora highway.A Police officer told 5 Dariya news Two militants and a Crpf (Central Reserve police force) Personal were killed during militants forces firing while another militant who trying to flee from spot was arrested by forces alive in injured condition is admitted in hospital and is being treated.J&K police wrote in an official twitter handle, Militants attacked a joint naka of Police & security forces at Lawaypora. In the exchange of fire 02 Militants were killed. One SF jawan attained martyrdom. The killed CR4PF personal Ct Ramesh Ranjan of CRPF was first when naka of 73 Bn signalled them to halt scooty coming from Narbal, IG CRPF Ravi Deep Shahi said.He further added“It was a prompt response by the CRPF in which both the militants were gunned down,”Later DGP J&K Police Dilbagh Singh holds a presser and said, Militants belonging to different outfits worked for a along time now.He said two militants killed have been identified as Zia ul Rehman belonging to the Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Khateeb belonging to the Hizbul Mujahideen and Fayaz Umar who was injured and later arrested belonged to JKIS.Singh said this year many successful anti-militancy operations were carried out and many militant modules were busted."20 militants have so far been killed this year, he said.IG Kashmir Zone police Vijay kumar told in Presser that Khateeb Das who was associated with Hizbul Mujahideen. In a terror attack at Lawaypora today in the outskirts of Srinagar city, two terrorists were killed in the exchange of fire with police and security forces.*At about 1145 hours, terrorists fired at the joint naka of CRPF and police at Lawaypora. In the exchange of fire two terrorists were killed on the spot and one terrorist sustained injuries. Moreover one security force personnel also attained martyrdom. The two killed terrorists have been identified as Khateeb Ahmad Dass of Bijbehara and Zia u Rehman Wani of Aarath Budgam. Moreover, one security force jawan also attained martyrdom. He has been identified as Constable Ramesh Rajan CRPF 73 BN. We pay our rich tributes to martyr Ramesh for the supreme sacrifices made in the line of duty.As per police records both the terrorists had a history of terror crime records and were wanted by law for their complicity in terror crimes and attacks on security establishments and civilian atrocities.According to police records, Khateeb Dass was the brother-in-law of terrorist Mugees Mir of Parimpora who was earlier killed in an encounter. Khateeb Dass as per police records was affiliated with proscribed terror outfit HM and had been part of groups involved in carrying out terror attacks in the areas of South Kashmir. Several terror crime cases were registered against him including case FIR No. 104/2015 pertaining to terror crimes.As per police records Zia u Rehman Wani was affiliated with proscribed terror outfit LeT and was part of groups involved in carrying out attacks on guard posts, security deployments and several other grenade attacks besides civilian atrocities. He had history of terror crime records since 2018. Several terror *crime cases were registered against him including case FIR No. 73/2018 pertaining to decamping of weapons from the residential guard post of erstwhile Congress MLC Muzaffar Parray at Jawahar Nagar Srinagar.Incriminating materials including arms and ammunition was recovered from the terrorists. All the recovered incriminating materials have been taken into case records for the purpose of investigation and probe their complicity in other terror crimes.Police have registered a case in this matter and further investigation is in progress.
