District Development Commissioner ,Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today convened a meeting to review implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the district.The meeting was informed that under the mission, retro-fitting of the closed schemes and construction 113 new Water Supply Schemes to ensure full coverage.It was given out that all households will be provided piped water by 2022 and 3 blocks of Kulgam, Behibagh and Pombay will be connected by December 2021 under JJM in the district.The DDC directed the concerned to involve field functionaries of concerned departments for accurate survey of the households with & without piped water within the stipulated time frame, so that action plan for the successful implementation of the scheme is devised accordingly.SE Hydraulics, ADC, Joint Director Planning, Executive Engineers of PHE Divisions Qazigund and Kulgam, District Panchayat Officer, BDO's, members of PRI's and other concerned attended the meeting.
