Union Minister Som Parkash visits Chak Balwal, assesses public issues, highlights govt schemes

Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industries, Som Parkash, today listened to people's issues here at Chak Bhalwal, as part of centre government's public outreach programme.He interacted with various deputations and civil society members of Bhalwal block, and took stock their demands and problems assuring them an early redressal of the same.Director Commerce and Industries, Anoo Malhotra and M D SIDCO, Ravinder Kumar accompanied the Union MoS during the visit.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister highlighted achievements and development recorded in the UT of J&K under various centrally sponsored schemes. He said that the government of India is working earnestly towards overall development of Jammu and Kashmir and schemes like Pradham Mantrti Jan Dhan Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeeven Jyoti Bima Yojana and several such social schemes are contributing tremendously in this regard.Meanwhile, the Minister distributed baby kits, spectacles and pass books among the beneficiaries under various schemes. He also presented mementoes to the best performing ASHA workers during the programme.Among others senior officers of various departments, Anganwari Workers and residents of the block were also present on the occasion.
