The district administration Bandipora today launched a massive drive against encroachment and conversion of agriculture land.Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Zahoor Ahmad Mir and Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Reyaz Ahmad Beigh led two different teams and removed encroachments at Garoora, Brar, Aloosa, Patushaiand retrieved encroached land besides demolishing structures erected on Agriculture land in violation of land use laws.More than a dozen structures including Plinth and fencing were demolished.Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza said the administration has identified the encroached land and a vigorous drive has been launched against the encroachers and to check the conversion of agriculture land. He said that no violation will be tolerated in this regard.Pertinently, the Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora has already directed tehsildhars, Patwaris and revenue officials of the district to act tough against encroachers and those involved in conversion of agriculture land.
