The Jan Manch was held in five districts of the state including Hamirpur, Shimla, Mandi, Una and Bilaspur on Sunday in which more than 620 demands and complaints were presented and most of them were settled on the spot.Irrigation and Public Health Minister Mahender Singh Thakur chaired the function at Sera village in Nadaun constituency of district Hamirpur where 54 complaints were received.  He said that around three hundred schemes of the state have been included under 'Har Ghar Mein Nal Se Jal' project of the union government. Rs. 6500 crore Shiva project has also been sanctioned for the state which would benefit the horticulturists of Hamirpur and other district in providing sprinkler and drip irrigation facility. He expressed satisfaction that 12,492 LPG connections have already been distributed out of 12,797 targeted beneficiaries in the district.Local MLA Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Vice Chairman, HRTC Vijay Agnihotri were also present on the occasion.In Shimla district, the Jan Manch was held at Veergarh (near Kotgarh) in Shimla district which was presided over by Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj. In all, 52 demands and complaints were received and most of them were redressed on the spot.The Minister distributed FD's under Beti Hai Anmol Yojana and also honoured the girls under Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme.MLA Rakesh Singha was also present on this occasion

In Bilaspur district Agriculture Minister Dr. Ram Lal Markanda chaired the function organised in Kalol Panchayat of Jhanduta Assembly constituency in which 119 demands and complaints were presented by people of various Gram Panchayats.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Jan Manch was providing an effective medium to the people to redress their demands and problems. However, if any person fails to reach the Jan Manch venue, he could place forth his demand through CM Helpline as well through toll free number 1100. Local MLA J.R Katwal informed that NABARD has approved Rs. 48 crore DPR for providing drinking water to 19 Panchayats of Kotdhar area.In Mandi district, the Jan Manch was organised in Salapar Panchayat of Sundernagar Assembly constituency in which 330 demands and complaints were received from 14 panchayats out of which around 270 cases were disposed off on the spot. The programme was chaired by Industries Minister Bikram Singh.The Minister distributed FD's, incentives, 717 LPG's connections and sewing machines to the beneficiaries on this occasion. Various certificates and ration cards were also issued to the beneficiaries.Local MLA Rakesh Jamwal was also present on the occasion.Deputy Speaker Hansraj presided over the Jan Manch at Daulatpur in Una district in which 95 demands and complaints were settled.MLA Rajesh Thakur was also present on this occasion.
