Chief Minister  Jai Ram Thakur urged the BJP workers to fan out the policies, programmes and  schemes launched by the of the State Government as well as Central Government  so that people could take benefits of these schemes for to ameliorate their living conditions. Chief Minister was addressing a mammoth gathering at Rajgarh in Sirmour district today after the BJP candidate Reena Kashyap filed her nomination papers as BJP candidate from Pachhad assembly constituency bye-elections today. Shri Jai Ram Thakur said that  at the Centre the BJP led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Party President  Shri Amit Shah in the Lok Sabha elections, bettered its numbers from 2014, winning 303 seats on its own and NDA getting 353 seats in total with its allies in 2019 general elections. He said that this paved the way for a strong, vibrant and New India under dynamic and strong leadership of  Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He said that Himachal Pradesh set a record in these Lok Sabha elections as it won in all the 68 assembly constituencies of the State, its vote share was highest in the State history and victory margins of 4.77 lakh votes was highest in the country in Kangra parliament constituency. Chief Minister said that the State Government during last twenty months of its present tenure has ensured equal development of all parts of the State with special focus on those areas which had remained neglected due to one reason or other in the past. He said that the biggest achievement of the Union Government during the first hundred days in office was to scrap the Article 370 from Jammu Kashmir, thereby paving the way for ‘One Nation One Constitution” in whole the country.

Jai Ram Thakur said that Jan Dhan Yojna, Ayushmann Bharat, Kissan Samman Nidhi Yojna, Ujjawala Yojna etc. were a few central schemes launched by Prime Minister Shri Modi,  which were proving as milestones for making  vibrant New India. He said that the State Government also launched Him Care Scheme to cover the 22 lakh people not covered under central scheme Ayushmann Bharat. He said that till date 37,000 people have been benefitted under this Scheme. Similarly, the State Government launched Gharini Suvidha Yojna to cover all the families not covered under Ujjawala Yojna, he added. He said that the State Government was endeavouring to make Himachal Pradesh a smoke free state of the country at the earliest. He said that the Union Government was also providing Rs 6000 per annum to the farmers besides announcing pension scheme to the small traders. Irrigation and Public Health Minister Mahender Singh, Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr Rajiv Saizal, Chief Whip Narendra Bragta, MP Suresh Kashyap, MLAs Sukh Ram Chaudhary, Balbir Verma and Paramjit Singh Pammi, Vice Chairman State Civil Supplies Corporation Baldev Singh Tomar Former MP Virender Kashyap, Former  MLA K.L.Thakur, BJP leaders Baldev Bhandari, Chander Mohan Thakur, Naresh Sharma, Ms. Daizy Thakur were present on the occasion.
