The All India Trinamool Congress on Saturday launched a new video series on social media using the hashtag 'Pradhan Mantri Hisab Do'.The party shared on AITC Twitter handle the first video, which highlights two stark pictures from Haryana and West Bengal. The one-minute video first shows a girl from Haryana's Rewari village wanted to study but had to quit as there is no school in her village. "I had to walk 14-15 km so I quit school. The central government talks about 'Beti Padhao' (educating daughters) but they couldn't build a school here," the girl complains in the video. She then asks: 'Hai iska koi hisab?'(Can this be accounted for?).After which, the video highlights the development work done in West Bengal. It underlines the state government's 'Sobuj Saathi' scheme for distribution of bicycles to students of class IX to XII studying in government schools.A woman from rural Bengal is seen explaining how the bicycle her daughter got from the state government as part of the scheme, conceived by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, is enabling her to attend school regularly, even though it's quite far away.
