NIPER – SAS Nagar’s students and scholars are all round warriors, they are bringing laurels to the institute not only in the field of Pharma and search but on the sports grounds too. This is well proved this time again during the INTER-NIPER Sports Meet 2019 (of all 7 NIPERs in India) held at NIPER- Ahmedabad.The trophies of Cricket Boys, Volleyball Boys, Basketball Boys, Kabaddi Boys, Football Boys, Basketball Girls, Badminton Single Girls, Table Tennis Single Boys, Table Tennis Boys Double, Table Tennis Girls Double, Table Tennis Mixed Double, and Chess Girls are grabbed by NIPER- SAS Nagar students. And on the athlete grounds too, 100 Meter Boys, Long Jump Boys, Discus Throw Girls’ gold medals are won by NIPER SAS Nagar. A photography competition was also organized during the meet for which Zia ur Rahman of Pharmacology & Toxocology won the 1st prize.Mr. Ishfaq of Pharmacy Practice was declared “Player of the Tournament Cricket Boys”; Shaheen of department of Pharmacology & Toxicology was declared “Player of the Tournament Volleyball Boys”. Mr. Amol of Biotechnology won the “Player of the Tournament Kabaddi Boys” and Ms. Lakshita of Process Chemistry was also honored with “Player of the Tournament Basketball Girls”.Prof. Raghuram Rao, Director NIPER along with Chief warden Prof. Sanjay Jachak congratulated all the teams and felicitated them with trophies and certificates. The ceremony was concluded with cake cutting ceremony INSM-2019. This INSM (INTER - NIPER Sports Meet scheduled annually where all 7 NIPERS situated at Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Hyderbad, Hajipur, Gohwati, Rai Bareli and here at SAS Nagar participate jointly.
