Anumit Hira Sodhi, Member of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) along with his supporters and friends celebrated Basant Panchmi at Firozpur district in Punjab with flying kites to mark the beginning of Spring season.Basant is celebrated as the festival of kites all across Punjab with pep and excitement on the fifth day of spring to celebrate the onset of Spring. Anumit along with his friends and supporters gathered to commemorate the seasonal festival. With happiness and elation in the air, everybody was seen enjoying the day and kite flying. Soon the sky was filled with colourful kites of different sizes and shapes. Talking about the festival, Anumit Hira Sodhi said, the richness of festivals and culture is what makes Punjab a colourful and a happy state. On this seasonal festival of Punjab, we are continuing the legacy of Namdhari Sikhs by celebrating this festival to mark the beginning of Spring. With flying kites, I hope Basant brings along happiness, good fortune and success for everyone.
