An Orientation Seminar was being organised from 26th to 28th February, 2013 at Lok Sabha Secretariat, New Delhi for the 24 newly elected legislators to the 12th Himachal Pradesh legislative assembly. Speaking in an inaugural session at New Delhi today, Shri Brij Behari Lal Butail, Speaker, H.P. Vidhan Sabha said that orientation programmes were needed for equipping the newly elected legislators with first hand knowledge of Parliamentary practices and procedures. Butail hoped that this orientation programme would not only help the legislators to know about the role of legislators but also to make them aware about decency and decorum to be maintained in the House. Speaker thanked the Lok Sabha Speaker Smt. Meira Kumar for conducting orientation programme for newly elected legislators of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha.
