Irrigation and Public Health Minister Mahender Singh urged all the Himachalis residing in New Delhi region to come forward and contribute towards the growth of the state. He invited them to give their suggestions and ideas for formulating good schemes for the betterment of people.He was addressing the annual Mangal Milan Samaroh of Himachal Kalyan Sabha at New Delhi on Sunday.He said that interests of the people residing in national capital region were dear to the state government and they can approach the government for any grievance redressal which will be given priority. He also lauded their contribution in preserving Himachali culture while living away from their homes. He said that Himachalis are serving in good positions in national capital and everywhere in the country and have won recognition for their services for which the state was proud.Mahender Singh detailed about various developmental schemes launched by the state government during one year and their impact which has been lauded by everyone.
He said that immense support in form of funds and scheme approvals has been provided by the Centre to the state which is a great achievement of state government for the welfare of people. He mentioned various important decisions of the state government in the social welfare and health sectors and added that Jan Manch has been launched for speedy grievance redressal.He said that youth are the backbone of any country and channelizing their energy in positive manner is very important and added that the state government is taking strict measures against drug abuse to save youth from falling prey to drugs.Personalities rendering commendable service in various fields were honoured by the Minister on the occasion.President Himachal Kalyan Sabha D.D. Dogra welcomed the Minister and detailed about various welfare activities of the Sabha.Members and office bearers of the Sabha, Himachalis residing in the NCR were present on the occasion.
