Corporation earns turnover of Rs. 741.65 crore in seven months

Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kishan Kapoor said that State Civil Supplies Corporation earned turnover of Rs 741.65 crores during the period of April, 2018 to October, 2018 which is Rs. 43.27 crores more in comparison to last year during this period.He was presiding over the meeting of the Board of Directors of HP State Supply Corporation held here today. He said that the go-downs will be constructed at Killar in Chamba district, Chetru in Kangra district, Thunag and Sandhol of Mandi district for which a provision of rupees three crore has been made in the budget. He directed the officers to complete all the formalities for construction of these go-downs so that people can be benefited by ensuring timely and regular supply of food items.

The Minister said that the department is providing quality pulses and other food items to the consumers of the state. The Corporation has been able to save Rs. 81.90 crores in the last ten months in procurement of pulses and sugar. He directed the officials to set up the vehicle tracking system within one month on the vehicles of Corporation.Approval was given during the meeting for filling up of 11 posts of computer operators (accounts) on outsource basis.Director, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Madan Chauhan conducted the proceedings of the meeting.Vice Chairman of the Corporation Baldev Tomar, non-official members of the Board, Principal Secretary Onkar Sharma, and other senior officers of the Corporation were also present in the meeting.
