The Hindi Pakhwada celebration culminated today at Accountant General Office Jammu, J&K with conclusion of 15 day long mesmerizing presentations by the employees of Audit, A&E and RTI wings of AG office Jammu.Dr. Neelam Saraf, Head of Department (Hindi), Jammu University was the chief guest on the occasion.The concluding ceremony was presided over by Pr. Director, RTI Sheela Jog, which commenced with the lightening of traditional lamp by the Chief Guest and the Presiding Officer along with Sr. DAG (Audit) V.K. Bakshi, DAG (Accounts) S.L.Verma, DAG (Pension) Sangeeta Purswani.During the fortnight celebration, various competitions concerning official language “Hindi” viz. essay writing, debate, singing competition, poetry recitation and quiz programme and antakhsari were held in which employees participated in large number exhibited their love and enthusiasm for the Hindi dialect.A cultural programme was also presented on the occasion to regale the audience in which office artists hailing from all the three offices participated. The scintillating performances of the local artists were applauded by all.Later, Dr. Neelam Saraf and Sheela Jog facilitated to the winners of various competitions held during the fortnight celebration.Sheela Jog, while speaking on the occasion congratulated the winners and exhorted others to emulate them and prepare themselves for the next year. She emphasized that this zeal and enthusiasm should not end with the conclusion of the function rather it must be taken further through official working. She stressed upon the need for adopting Hindi in our day–to-day life as well besides doing maximum official work in Hindi.
