District Development Commissioner Bandipora Dr Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary today handed over a bus to Government Degree College (GDC), Bandipora in presence of Safina Muzaffar on behalf of Member Parliament, Muzaffar Hussain Beigh.The bus, costing Rs 15.50 lakh, was donated by Member parliament out of MPLAD Fund during last year. The Principal of College, Prof H G Mustafa, SSP Bandipora Shiekh Zulfkar Azad, JD Planing Abdul Majeed were present on the occasion, besides other staff members and students.Later a function was held in the college auditorium, in which DDC Bandipora assured the college administration of every possible support from the district administration. He said all issues of the college including macadamization of road and augmentation of water supply will be done on priority. He said the bus will provide better transport service for students of adjoining areas.Safina Muzaffar also spoke on the occasion and asked students to think positive and build a better career for themselves. She also announced the construction of rest room for girl students of the college.The principal of the college and SSP also spoke on the occasion.On the occasion, an interactive session was held in which students raised many issues.
