Students Take Pledge To Stay Away From Drugs At The Start Of Academic Session

The new academic session has started at SCD Government College, here today. The new students today pledged to stay away from drugs and to create a healthy society in the presence of MP Ravneet Singh Bittu.While addressing the students, Bittu said that he had started a drive against drugs from outside the Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana office around 10 years ago, and now, it has taken shape of a mass movement. He called upon the students to stay away from drugs and should contribute in nation building.Bittu said that students are future of every country, and that is why, they should understand their responsibilities and prepare themselves for nation building. He also made them aware about Mission Tandrust Punjab, being started by the Punjab government and appealed them to make it successful.College Principal Mr Dharam Singh Sandhu and others also addressed the students.
