Lashing out at the remarks of former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti that NIA sleuths were threatening her party’s legislators of consequences if they don’t side with Bhartiya Janata Party, state spokesman of BJP Altaf Thakur said that the statement of Mehbooba reflects that she is suffering from frustration and is now banking on lies to gain public sympathy to hide her failures. In a statement issued to PTK, Thakur said Mehbooba’s claims that her party’s members are receiving threats from NIA are nothing but a falsehood as the fact remains that she is not able to set her house in order as there is a mass rebellion in PDP as she lacks competence to lead the herd as openly claimed by her party’s former ministers. Thakur said blaming New Delhi for breaking her party is a move to reach out to people to do away with all her wrongdoings she did as the head of the State.Thakur said if Mehbooba’s claims have some weight and are based on truth, she shouldn’t not shy away from naming the PDP leaders or members who have been threatened by the NIA. The BJP state spokesman said that Mehbooba is known for shedding crocodile tears for gaining public support to keep her sinking boat floating.

Thakur said that at times she claims that if New Delhi tries to break PDP, more people like Muhammad Yasin Malik or Syed Salahudin will be born, but the fact remains, all these things are mere ploys and political gimmicks to be-fool people and to toe the separatist line just to tell people that she was not going to compromise, which is far from truth. He said that PDP president is feeling isolated at present. Thakur said that Mehbooba has been known for her Rudali nature as she would often visit to militants homes when she was out of power and would weep to project herself as anti-national elements. He said but people of Kashmir are now wise enough to understand the divisive politics being played by Mehbooba.Thakur said that BJP leadership including tallest leader Ram Madhav and State president Ravinder Raina have already clarified that BJP is not interested in any horse trading or formation of government and the party’s sole agenda at present is to ensure peace and development in J&K through Governor’s rule.
