Kishan Kapoor demands Rs. 36 crore from Centre

Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kishan Kapoor met Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution C R Chowdhry at New Delhi today. He urged the Union Minister to release Transport freight and handling charges worth Rs 36 crore for the state besides increasing the quota for kerosene oil keeping in view the tough geographical conditions of state. He also discussed about the quality of rice and supply of kerosene oil with him.The Minister also met Union Minister of State for Culture Dr Mahesh Sharma and requested him for providing Rs 14 crore for beautification of 398 kanal land of temple trust adjoining Bagalamukhi temple at Kotla. He said that beautification of the area would promote religious tourism besides promoting employment opportunities to local youth.Union Minister assured of providing adequate funds in near future.
