Bali Bhagat listens to prominent citizen, assures redressal of demands

Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat today convened a meeting with prominent citizens of district Kishtwar along with district administration in conference hall of new DC Office complex here.DDC Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana, SSP Abrar Chowdhary, ADC Kishtwar Kishori Lal Sharma, ACR Qaiser Ahmed Bhawani, ACD , other district and Sectoral officers and prominent citizens of district were present on the occasion.During the meeting, the minister interacted with the prominent citizens of the town and listened to their issues, grievances and demands pertaining to matters of basic concern.Bali said that such interactions are a must for working of the government as well as district administration as it gives a feedback and real ground situation about the output of various developmental schemes meant for welfare of public. Such interactions gives a confidence to people as they can interact face to face with the legislators and can raise their voice on the proper platform.On the occasion, the people of Kishtwar demanded availability of Specialist doctors in district hospital Kishtwar so that patients don’t have to suffer and cases are not referred to higher institutions of health situated in Jammu and Srinagar. They also demanded for availability of female Gynecologist at DH Kishwtar, doctor for PHC Chatroo, digital x-ray and other new add art medical equipment’s.

Issues pertain to non functionality of lift in hospital, proper sanitation by municipality, adequate water in the town, demand for women college, school staff and dispensary for Balgran Sarthal, shifting of wine shop, separate medical block for Dacchan and a high demand of creating a no entry of vehicles in famous "chowgan " ground.After listening to the issues, the Minster responded by directing the concerned officers to take a serious note of people’s grievances and issued on spot directions asking for remedial measures. He assured the people to place the sufficient number of doctors and other para medical staff at the earliest.On the issue of entry and parking in Parade ground (Chowgan), he said it is  heritage of the district and directed DDC kishtwar to strictly close the entry for  all sort of vehicles. Regarding sanitation in municipality area he directed DDC to issue necessary guidelines to EO for cleanliness In and around the town.Asserting that NHM is the backbone of health department, he directed concerned official to advertise the vacant post shortly besides directed the administration to make the lift in DH Kishwtar functional at the earliest.Counting the numerous achievements and availability of funds under various sectors in the state, the Minster said that the  Govt has kept Rs 150 cr for kishtwar district in health department alone. He also counted various achievements like cancer hospital ,50 bedded hospital, BSC nursing college for Jammu and Kishtwar, Ayush proposal for Kishtwar and Kupwara, PHC etc.In the end, Bali directed the administration to make DPR for opening of eye block in District hospital kishwtar and said that the funds shall be released soon. He further said that the issues will further be taken in a detailed manner in tomorrow’s DDB meeting.
