Punjab Congress hails Rahul Gandhi’s elevation

Punjab Congress today hailed the elevation of Rahul Gandhi as the Vice President of the All India Congress Committee saying it will imbibe new vigour in the party.In a statement Punjab Congress general secretary and Dhuri MLA Arvind Khanna while hailing Rahul Gandhi’s appointment as the vice president of the party said, the much-awaited elevation has sent the party workers and leaders into jubilation all across the country.Khanna maintained that everybody in the Congress was looking forward to Rahul Gandhi to lead the 2014 General Elections as he had emerged as an ideal and icon for the youth of the country. He said, Rahul Gandhi had really worked hard for the party and made it more representative.

The Dhuri MLA said, under the Congress President Ms Sonia Gandhi’s guidance Rahul Gandhi was certain to lead the party to a landslide victory in the next General Elections. He said, people, particularly the youth of the country were looking forward to him for his foresight, honesty and concern for the grassroots and less privileged in the society.
