The Government on Monday said that eight works are in progress in Shangus constituency under State and District sector to complete various Primary Health Centres, Sub-District Hospital and New Type Primary Health Centres (NTPHC).Responding to a Calling Attention Notice by Gulzar Ahmad Wani, Minister for Revenue & Parliamentary Affairs, Hajj and Auqaf, Abdul Rehman Veeri on behalf of the Minister for Health & Medical Education said that work is under progress on the construction of SDH Shangus, PHC buildings and residential quarters each at Nowgam, Bunturu and Tailwani under the State Sector.He said four projects including construction of PHCs at Chittergul and Ranipora and NTPHC buildings at Dethu and Brinty under State sector are under execution. He said the works are on different stages and will be completed as soon as possible.Regarding the staff strength, the Minister said there is sanctioned staff strength of 266 posts in various medical institutions in the Shangus constituency out of which 239 posts are in position. He said 57 medical and paramedic staff has been provided under NHM to meet the dearth of staff.
