Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Hanjura today informed the Legislative Council that Government is considering launching of fresh scheme on analogy of Rehber- e- Sehat pattern in the state.He was replying to a calling attention notice by Ghulam Nabi Monga ‘to call the attention of the government towards a situation that has arisen due to the long pending demand of MMPHW/FMPHW/ANM for their adjustment as Rahber-e-Sehat as assured by the Health Minister.’The Minister informed that the Rehbar-e-Sehat Scheme launched by Government in May 2002, aimed to provide basic healthcare facilities in villages where no health institutions either allopathic or ISM Sector existed.“With this view, Female Multipurpose Workers were engaged during 2002- 2003 in 14 Districts of the State,” he informed, adding that the health department is actively considering launching the scheme afresh on this analogy.
