Three militants were killed in a gunfight with forces in Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday.Reports said that forces launched a cordon and search operation in Bachinaad area of Patrigam village after inputs about the presence of militants.As the searches were being conducted, the militants hiding in the village opened fire on the forces, triggering off a gunfight, they said.An eye witness said that paramilitary CRPF troopers from Nagam heading towards the gunfight site in Patrigam resorted to aerial firing and teargas shelling in Chadoora market.Meanwhile, the shopkeepers downed their shutters and the whole market wore a deserted look. Reports reaching PTK said that after the killing of militants late evening clashes erupts amid protests in Chadoora. Reports also said that the internet services were also snapped in the area. (PTK)
