BJP announces six-party alliance in Tamil Nadu

The BJP has set up a six-party alliance to contest the 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu and expects to win at least 25, party president Rajnath Singh said Thursday.The Bharatiya Janata Party will contest 8 seats, Vijayakant's DMDK 14, the PMK 8, Vaiko's MDMK 7, IJK 1 and KMDK 1."This is a formidable alliance and we expect 25 seats in Tamil Nadu," Rajnath Singh said.On the Lok Sabha ticket to party leader L.K. Advani, the BJP president said the party has given a choice to the veteran leader on whether to contest from Gandhinagar or Bhopal.
