Rattan Group of Institutions Sector 78 celebrated International Day for Persons with Disabilities  in collaboration with Mentor School for Skills, Mohali. Differently Abled Children from different districts of Punjab participated in this mega event. Children suffering from Hearing Impairment, Visually Impaired, Orthopedically Handicapped and Autism were seen performing various Cultural event and Folk Dances.Deaf group of boys and girls performed Punjab Folk Dance Bhangra and Gidda , whereas , Jaspreet Kaur who is blind , performed bhangra with Saheb who was seen doing Solo Dance with great energy having autism Disability followed by other solo and group performances. Students were also honored by the Chief Guest Jayant Krishna, COO & Executive Director, National Skill Development Corporation for their morale encouragement.Chairman Rattan Group of Institutions while encouraging the special children said that Such programs aim to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society.

Speaking on the occasion, Sukrit Bansal Operation Head said that Mentor Skills India which is a Training Partner of National Skill Development Corporation has taken an initiative to train and empower Differently Abled Persons through employment. He also mentioned that Mentor Skills India has the distinction of launching the first batch for Deaf & Mute trainees under PMKVY1, under this batch  deaf students were trained in Domestic Data Entry Operator Job role and were certified by NASSCOM Sector Skill Council, the same batch was honored by the Union Cabinet Minister for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.Chief Guest Jayant Krishna said at the moment  that NSDC and Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship is making efforts to include Differently abled persons in Skill India Mission by incentivizing and motivating their training partners to provide opportunities to these special people for getting themselves skilled and employed.
