Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Former President of India, would address the students of Rayat-Bahra Group of Institutes at grand campus convocation to be held on March 20.The president RBGI, Nirmal Singh Rayat said that besides Dr Kalam, two high profile corporate officials namely MD-Corporate Affairs, Accenture Sanjeev Kumar Gupta and IBM Fellow and Vice-President, IBM Dr. Gururaj Rao,shall be the guests-of-honor. Dr. A. K. Bhandari, DUI cum Registrar, PU Chandigarh shall confer degrees upon graduates.

Chairman RBGI Gurvinder Singh Bahra added that 743 graduates and post -graduates of 2014 of five institutes including Rayat Institute of Engineering and Information Technology, Rayat Institute of Management, Rayat Institute of Pharmacy, Rayat College of Law and Rayat College of Education would be conferred degrees. During the function, 37 meritorious students will get medals, including Gold Medal, silver and bronze medals.He added that girls have outsmarted boys by bagging as many as 11 out of 14 PG-gold medals. 199 students if B. Ed, 35 of M. Ed., 16 of LLB, 20 of BBA, 24 of BCA, 28 of MBA, 15 of B Pharmacy, 31 of M Pharmacy, 345 of B Tech and 30 of M Tech shall be awarded on this occasion.Sixty campus colors shall be given away during the ceremony for outstanding achievements in academic, co-curricular and sports activities. A documentary film on the progress of Rayat-Bahra University will also be creened. Tight security arrangements will remain in place.The students of Rayat International School shall recite a shabad to give auspicious start to the programme.
