Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Doda, Tariq Hussain Naik, stressed upon the diversification of cooperative activities through innovations and adopting best practices in district.The ACR was speaking at a function organised as part of the 64th All India Cooperative week celebrations in district Doda today.ACR emphasized upon the need of digitization of cooperatives to cope up with the changing economics dynamics where e-business has increased its share on the strong IT backbone.For the prevention of the assets of cooperative societies from damage and to prevent land from encroachment, the ACR asked the Deputy Registrar Cooperative to submit the proposal for the renovation of the existing assets of the district and construction of fencing of the land, which he assured will be taken on priority.Earlier, highlighting the aim of the Cooperative Week Celebration, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Doda, Anoop Kumar said everywhere in the world cooperative sector has flourished and taking cue from their success stories we must put in concerted efforts to put in new strength and vigour to this sector. He also underlined the various bottle necks facing the department and sought the help from District administration in strengthening the Cooperative Movement in the district.Various Co-operators also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the role of cooperative sector in uplifting of people and boosting rural economy and hoped for more reforms in the sector to compete in new trends in the business sector.Among others, Tehsildar Doda, Nasir Ali Natnoo, Agricultural Extension Officer Doda, Manager Cooperative Bank Doda, Cooperators, Locals, employees of the different departments were attended the programme.
