Under the campaign launched by the state government for motivating the youth to be drug addicts, the Fazilka police, in collaboration with the civil administration, started the rally on the occasion of Sardar Bhagat Singh's birth anniversary, "Rasta Punjab" Mini Marathon. Addressing the gathering, ADGP Welfare-cum-Armed Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Kalra said that this unique initiative will give guidance to the bright future of the youth. Doubt will be proved. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Esha Kalya, while guiding the youth against drugs, appealed to them to stay away from drugs always for the future of their country and family.this marathon race is in IG Bathinda Zone Mr. MS China, DIG Ferozepur Range Mr. Rajinder, Deputy Commissioner Fazilka Mrs Esha Kalia, Deputy Commissioner Mukatsar Mr. Sumit Jargal, besides the SSP of Bureau of Police Research Development from Delhi. The rank police officer Mr. DS Sandhu, SSP Dr. Ketan Baliram Patil flagged off the youth by flagging off. On this occasion, the symbols of peace and peace were also dropped. Meanwhile, an oath was made in the interest of educating the youths against drug addiction.

In this marathon race, besides the border villages of the district, 3000 boys and 500 girls from across the state participated. This race started from the parade ground of the Police Line and the DC Complex, Sanjiv Cinema Chowk, Gaushala Road, Shastri Chowk, and 12 Km journey from M. R. College Road ended at the Shaheedi Memorial at Asaf Walhal.Among the boys in the race, Vineet Kumar (Abohar) was in first place, Jatinder Singh (Tarn Taran) and Rohit (Abohar) at third place. In the girls category, Seema Devi Dasuah (Hoshiarpur), Prabhjot Kaur Dasuha (Hoshiarpur) and Gurpreet Kaur (Jalandhar) were in third place.Prior to the marathon race, various public school students presented the famous folk dance of Giddha and Bhangra. Meanwhile, students of Gatka were shown school children. On this occasion, noted comedian Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi, inspired by Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh, inspired the youth to avoid drugs.On this occasion Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, CJM Mr. K. K. Bansal, BSF Commandant Mr. Naresh Kumar and Mr. Karan Gillhotra were among those who were specially present.
