Kailash Satyarthi for technological solution to end child abuse

Noble Laureate Kailash Satyarthi on Thursday called for developing a technological solution to end the sexual abuse and trafficking of children.Addressing a gathering of industry leaders here on Thursday, he said the business community and the corporate world in the country should come out with technological and business solutions to social problems."Corporates are the problem solvers. Doing business is perceived to be earning profits. That is not right. You also have social responsibility towards the society," he said.The Noble Laureate asked them to join in his fight against child abuse and any form of violence against children.He interacted with over 150 industry leaders from industrial bodies such as CII, HYSEA, Hyderabad Angels, TiE Hyderabad and Telangana Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The interaction was organised by Disruppt Thinking.Satyarthi said children were not safe anywhere, not even in their neighbourhoods, schools and not even in their homes. "Anyone can turn into a predator. In the name of family honour and shame, the voices of victims are suppressed at every point," he said.He said parents had no time for their children and children had nobody at home to share their pain and problems.He administered a pledge to industry leaders to fight against all sorts of violence against children. He said he wanted one crore people to take the pledge.
